The most common questions we get when we present the SiltPrison and its capabilities are related to maintenance. It makes sense, seeing that when we talk stormwater management and treatment, of course some form maintenance is always needed. Even passive systems like rain gardens require cleaning and up keep. A complete SiltPrison water quality device (treatment membrane + precast manhole) provides essential inlet protection and and TSS removal with the added benefit of cleaning and maintenance that is nothing outside ordinary provisions. This means Vactor trucks are able to perform maintenance on our devices just as it were a standard deep sump catch basin. To keep SiltPrison units running at optimum efficiency, look to schedule 1 catch basin inspection and 1 cleaning per year.
